Vikings host football clinic April 8

April 04, 2006The ECSU Football Vikings will host a clinic for football coaches at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8 at Roebuck Stadium. Coaches of all levels are welcome to participate in the clinic. Topics for discussion include coaching the offensive and defensive lines; coaching quarterbacks; developing a winning program and weightlifting. Former Viking gridiron teammates Everett McIver and Antonio Moore will headline Saturday's clinic. McIver, a 7-year NFL veteran was an All-CIAA defensive lineman for the Vikings from 1990-1992. Moore, the current coach at Northeastern High School, played for the Vikings from 1992-1996 and was an All-CIAA selection at the linebacker position. The coaching clinic will also feature the ECSU coaching staff--Head Coach Waverly Tillar, and Coaches Bill Holt (offensive line), Marcus White (defensive line), Willie Gillus (quarterbacks) and Alvin Parker (offensive coordinator). The cost of the clinic, $10 per coach, includes lunch. Participants in this clinic are welcome to remain for the annual Blue and White Game at 2 p.m. Saturday.
