Four students were inducted into Chi Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National
Criminal Justice Honor Society at Elizabeth City State University on December 3:
Tiarra Moore, a senior criminal justice major from Clinton, Md.
Ra-Shadra Godfrey, a junior criminal justice major from Elizabeth City, N.C.
Christopher Anderson, a senior criminal justice major from Elizabeth City, N.C.
Yolanda White, a senior criminal justice major from Windsor, N.C.
Requirements for this honor society follow:
Students must be enrolled in the university, must have declared a major, minor or
equivalent in criminal justice fields, must have completed three full semesters or
equivalent, must have a minimum grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale with a minimum
grade point average of 3.2 in courses in criminal justice fields.
The participating students are in the top 35 percent of their class. A minimum of
four courses of the above coursework shall be in the criminal justice field.
Since its re-establishment, the local chapter has approximately 35 members. Faculty
advisors for the organization are Dr. Wayman Parson and Dr. Lynn Barnes.
