ECSU will join organizations around the world in observing World AIDS Day on December 1, 2010. Peer health educators and Student Health Services staff will provide information on the prevention, spread and treatment of AIDS. Staff from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University will provide test kits. Other activities include a personal testimony and the release of a cluster of red balloons in memory of those who lost their battle with AIDS. Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to wear red clothing and accessories on that day to support of the battle against HIV/AIDS. World AIDS Day has existed since 1988 when the World Health Organization established it.  For more information, contact Gloria Brown, 252-335-3521,
