ECSU launches PIER System

ECSU has joined the growing list of universities in the University of North Carolina system to use the Public Information Emergency Response system (PIER). This system is an internet based communication tool that will allow university officials to communicate with students, staff and faculty during emergencies. Please use the online entry form to share your cell phone number with us. University Relations & Marketing is the primary agency that will collect and use the cell phone numbers. Whether it's a weather related emergency or a hazardous problem that affects the normal operations of the university, we need a communication tool that allows us to communicate swiftly with you. Please visit the university's home page, and follow the instructions pertaining to PIER on the screen.
